About Sun Moon Garden
Located at 1511 N San Fernando Blvd, Burbank, CA 91504, Sun Moon Garden operates as a chinese restaurant serving Burbank in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as delivery restaurant, so it may cover more than the name suggests.
In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Burbank; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in California are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 11 am–9:30 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (818) 846-7660. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is sunmoongardentogo.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Customers rate it 4.3 out of 5 on Google across 330 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded chinese restaurants in Burbank.

We discovered this place while exploring our neighborhood. Was excited to try something new because we love to support local business. The restaurant was fairly busy so we waited a few minutes for them to clear a booth for us. The server dropped off our teapot and it genuinely looked rusty. We were hungry so we ordered a bunch of food. Here are our thoughts. Crab Meat Cheese Wonton: Good, but didn’t have a lot of filling in them. Wor Wonton Soup: Great, best dish of the evening. My gf loved the soup. Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings: Inedible. Was excited for these but they were beyond salty. I’m a salt fiend but this was too much even for me and tasted like the entire salt shaker spilt out into the dish. We couldn’t eat even one of the wings so they took them back and didn’t charge us. Beef and Broccoli combination dinner plate: great deal for the price and a good amount of food. The egg drop soup was delicious and the egg roll and fried shrimp were good. The fried rice was a bit bland but I enjoyed the beef and broccoli. The broccoli was fresh and crisp and the beef was good quality. Vegetable Chow Mein: A disappointment for sure. The vegetables were fresh and crisp but the noodl

I ordered takeout from this place. While the sesame chicken wasn’t too bad, I was treated horribly by the female manager. I was polite in letting her know I was here for my takeout order. She began shouting at me and I was taken aback because I had no idea what I had done. She was very rude and visibly annoyed with me when all I did was mention my name and I was there to pickup my order. I was also the only customer there in the restaurant at the time. She continued to shout at me and make flippant gestures. Since I do not hear at a high level, I asked her to write down multiple times what she was belligerently shouting to me so I could understand what the perceived issue was. She continued to raise her voice, make imitating gestures, and kept shouting at me. My whole experience felt like one big micro aggression. Needless to say, I will not be going back here and was very disappointed in how horribly I was treated by the manager there.

This is my go-to spot for food after a trip. The last thing you want to do when you come home from traveling is cook and this restaurant always hits the spot! Lots of vegetables, large portions, fresh hot green tea and soup with each meal when you eat in. They have lunch and dinner combos, but honestly everything on their menu is awesome. My favorites include orange chicken, szechwan sliced bbq pork, mongolian beef, honey walnut shrimp and the dish I order every single time I go: buddha’s delight. It’s packed with various vegetables in a slightly sweet sauce that delivers the nutrients your body is craving. They offer take out, but I suggest dining in to get the full experience. The walls are decorated with a mix of artwork and images of their food while a pop station plays in the background. You’ll sometimes find the kids doing homework at one of the tables during the week. They’re sustainability friendly too, so if you’d like them to package something up in your own container, they’re happy to do so. So grateful to have a traditional chinese restaurant that’s run by a family like this in the area.

Every time we stay for a night somewhere, we always look for a hole in the wall. This one is it! The food is really good! We have beef broccoli and honey walnut shrimp. They are just perfect! We don’t have to wait long either.

This little hole-in-the-wall is a hidden gem, in my opinion. I love the flavors, their portions, and their prices! They offer a dinner combination with a main course of your choice from the selected list, eggroll, fried rice, egg soup, and fried crab all for less than 13$! I had the crispy chicken a-la-carte. Definitely try it out for a very good dinner at an HONEST price, service is very friendly too!
